Domain Names

• Domain names are similar to phone numbers. When signing up for phone service, you have to consider 3 things:

1. Your phone number ( Your identification. )
2. A device to connect your phone number to your service provider ( Your phone. )
3. Your service provider ( The network. )

• Like your telephone, there are just 3 parts to every website:

1. A Domain Name ^[?] ( Think of this as your Internet phone number. )
2. A Name Server ^[?] ( This device will connect your domain name to your Internet service provider. )
3. Web Hosting ^[?] ( The Internet service provider, aka – Minshew Networks. )
